Workshop Has Students in Stitches

Organized by UAMS' chapter of the American Medical Women's Association, nearly two dozen female UAMS medical students received a half-hour of instruction in suturing from Theresa Wyrick, M.D., an assistant professor in the UAMS Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, and another half-hour of hands-on practice suturing lacerations and incisions in pigs' feet.
